Valley Cultural Center’s Concerts on the Green are FREE to the public and held on Sunday evenings from June 11 – August 20, 2017 (except July 2nd). All concerts start at 6 PM and end at 8 PM unless otherwise notified. Our location is the beautiful Lou Bredlow Pavilion in Warner Park at 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., in Woodland Hills. There is plenty of room for a late afternoon picnic with the family while being entertained by headline performers.

Parking for Concerts on the Green is available in the parking structure directly behind the stage on Califa Street for $15. Additional parking is available on Owensmouth Avenue in either parking structure between Califa and Oxnard. (see map).  Signs are clearly posted. For more information see our full schedule.

Valley Cultural Center outdoor programming at Warner Center Park includes Movies on the GreenOutdoor family movies are presented FREE on Saturday evenings July 22-August 19, 2017. Check out the 2017 schedule! Movies are projected on a 30′ screen with digital projection and 7.1 surround sound. Pre-feature entertainment begins at approximately 7:15 PM and movies begin at dusk (approximately 8 PM).

Shakespeare on the Green—The Valley Cultural Center is proud to host Shakespeare by the Sea once again at Warner Center Park. Join us Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 7:00 PM for The Taming of the Shrew! We’re proud to have this vibrant troupe back again in 2017 with talented actors, and amazing costumes. This outdoor venue is presented for FREE during the summer.  So come ye to the park, have ye a merry ole time, and brush up yer Shakespeare.

The Valley Cultural Center is is proud to announce the return of our music scholarship competition, Valley Talent & Music Scholarship Program. We’ve partnered with Nueva Vision Community School to encourage the study and performance of music by youth of the San Fernando Valley.

All San Fernando Valley high school students are eligible to play a piece of music chosen from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Impressionistic time periods, while competing for a total prize purse of $1,750.

Valley Cultural Center’s Children’s Performance Series

Valley Cultural Center’s Children’s Performance Series is FREE to the public and is held on Monday mornings June 19 – July 31, 2017 (except July 3rd). Show times are 10 AM until 11 AM at the Madrid Theatre in Canoga Park. Recommended for children 6 to 9 years old.

Since 1997, Children’s Performance Series has placed professional, world-class musicians, dancers, and actors in an intimate educational setting with children. Children’s Performance Series consists of a performance, a brief history lesson on the musical and cultural style being presented, and a question and answer session with the performers. Often children are invited on stage to be part of the experience.

Be sure to make reservations for the Children’s Performance Series by emailing madrid.booking@lacity.org. Or call 818-347-9938 and leave your first and last name, number of people (including adults), and your email address. Reservations are required for groups of 15 or more.

NoHo Summer Nights

Valley Cultural Center, in conjunction with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Council District 2, presents NoNo Summer Nights, a 10-week Concert and Movie series. NoHo Summer Nights runs on Saturday nights at the south end of the North Hollywood Park recreational center, across from the library, at the corner of Magnolia and Tujunga. Popular LA food trucks will be serving up a variety of food options and interactive art booths will be on site displaying their work. Admission is free. Community Parking is available at the recreation center parking lots, areas surrounding the park and the North Hollywood metro station.

Concerts begin at 6:30PM
There will be live entertainment following each concert at 8PM.

Movies begin at dusk, approximately 8PM
