  1. How is Valley Cultural Center funded?
    75% of our budget comes from corporate donations, 10% from foundation grants, 10% from Special Events/Fundraisers, and 5% from our membership.

Concerts in the Park
  1. How much do the Concerts in the Park cost?
    Thanks to the generosity of our corporate sponsors, grants and members, Valley Cultural Center is able to offer all the concerts for FREE. During an average year, VCC will spend over $300,000 to produce these FREE concerts.

  2. Where are the Concerts in the Park held?
    Concerts in the Park are held at the beautiful Lou Bredlow Pavilion in Warner Park, in Woodland Hills. There is plenty of room for a late afternoon picnic with the family while being entertained by headline performers.

  3. What time are the Concerts in the Park?
    The Concerts in 2008 will be held Sunday afternoons, June 1st through August 24th from 6:00 to 8 p.m. with two exceptions. On June 1st, VCC and the Playboy Jazz Festival have partnered to present an afternoon and evening of FREE Playboy Jazz at Warner Park from 2pm to 8pm featuring various artists, including one of the hottest stars on the comtemporary jazz scene today, saxophonist Michael Lington, as well as veteran jazz singer Ernie Andrews, the B-Side Players,and vocalist Raya Yarbough. The Chatwworth High School Jazz Band, under the direction of Larry Williams will open the show. On June 22nd the Woodland Hills-Tarzana Chamber of Commerce presents their 9th Annual Festival in the Park beginning at 2 PM with live entertainment, arts and crafts, children’s activities and more. The headline act, Berlin will perform at 6 PM.

  4. Where can I park?
    Parking for Concerts in the Park is available in the parking structure directly behind the stage on Califa Street for a $8 donation. Additional parking is available on Owensmouth Avenue in either parking structure between Califa and Oxnard (see map). Signs are clearly posted. Parking for Movies in the Park is also $8 per car, and $15 per car for the annual Dennis P. Zine July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza! Check out the Membership page for the great value including free parking at all events all season with your membership!

  5. Who's in charge at Warner Park?
    Valley Cultural Center leases the Lou Bredlow Pavilion in Warner Park for one weekend day per week between May and September. The park is managed and maintained by the City Department of Parks and Recreation. Park regulations prohibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages, open fires, and barbecues. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
